Welcome Message from the Chair
On behalf of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP), I wish to invite fellow-members, partners, and colleagues in the development finance community to join us at the 41st ADFIAP Annual Meeting to be held in New Delhi, India on February 20-22, 2017. In this regard, please allow me to thank our members in India for graciously hosting this year’s event.
Given that development finance institutions (DFIs) are called into the forefront to contribute to the attainment of financing the sustainable development goals (SDGs), we have chosen for our theme in this year’s ADFIAP Annual Meeting, “Sustainable and Inclusive Development – Role of DFIs”.
As in the past, this year’s conference aims to provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and sharing of knowledge. Such exchange could not be more opportune and relevant at this time. While DFIs that will be represented in New Delhi come from different countries and operate under different economic environment, we share commonalities in the concepts, principles and practice of development finance. Jointly, we will seek the answers to the question of how best our respective DFIs can effectively respond to sustainable and inclusive development, meet the challenges it poses, and exploit the opportunities it may present.
Topics on agriculture and rural development, including rural housing, micro, small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurship, international trade and infrastructure development, among other development activities of DFIs, will be thoroughly discussed during the conference, so let us take advantage of this opportunity.

The Indian Organising Member Institutions of the Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP) are pleased to welcome members and partners to join us at the 41st ADFIAP Annual Meeting 2018 to be held in New Delhi, India on February 20-22, 2018.
Delhi is the capital of India and as such is a symbol of the country’s rich past and thriving present. It is regarded as the heart of the nation. The city is popular for its enriched culture and heritage and is home to many famous historical monuments. With a history that goes back many centuries, Delhi showcases an ancient culture and a rapidly modernising country.
As in the previous editions, we hope participating members may benefit with enriched experience and key takeaways from this meeting.
